I opened my first shop “Junk on the Bay” in Gordonsbay. “Old world junk” and collectibles as well as rustic equipment, tools, enamel etc have been my passion for
as long as I can remember.
Thank goodness my loyal customers continued to support me when I relocated to Somerset West and my clientele has grown substantially. The Shed specialized in reclaimed wooden furniture made by my very talented friend Rian Oliver. His unique furniture graces homes throughout the Western Cape and has become so popular that he sometimes finds it difficult to keep up with demand. The furniture is made from reclaimed rustic wood, wherever possible keeping the effect of the original distressed layers of paint. Rian specializes in large tables, benches, bookcases etc. All the furniture is weather proof, ideal for indoor or outdoor use.
The Shed also hosts a number of tenants who share my passion for “Vintage jewels”. I have partitioned areas for tenants and each decorate and display their goods as they see fit.
The collectibles are scattered throughout the shop as well as rustic charm.
